Health Information Available From NC LIVE | Print |

Searching for health information on the Internet can be overwhelming.  What web sites do you trust?  Is the information accurate?  NC LIVE has partnered with NC Health Info, a University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Library service, to provide residents of North Carolina with access to reliable, premium health resources.  The site contains links to resources covering topics such as Obesity, Mental Health Issues, Substance Abuse, Diabetes, Asthma, and much more.  The site also contains health information of interest to members of the military and their families.  You can also search for services in our area by clicking on the Go Local section.  To access these resources, visit http://health.nclive.org.  Remember, if you are accessing these resources from your home computer, you will need a valid library card.

The holidays are a good time to remind everyone that your library is here to serve all citizens of Rutherford County, including those with disabilities. All three of our locations (County, Haynes, and Mountains) offer large print and audio books. If you or a family member have visual or physical limitations, you may also qualify for the Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped (NCLBPH), a service of the State Library of North Carolina.
